Game 3 @ the Garden. Grit and Balls and maybe get a few calls.

I think I’m the only one within the state of Massachusetts that is not in panic mode. It was game one people, nobody including the Big 4 thought they were rolling down to South Beach on one day rest after a game 7 and beating those guys.
KG was the only guy to step up in game 1, I don’t know about you but that is a pretty good sign to me. The Truth was anything but and Rondo was nowhere near his capability.
Mark my words you see that gritty team in Green tonight in game 2. The Celtics might be overmatched but they have more heart and fight than Miami. Look for a more physical and desperate Boston team tonight.
Miami better be careful of one thing.. If they lose tonight they are the ones that all of a sudden find themselves against a wall. The C’s don’t lose at home. Fact. Steal this game tonight and we got something real good stewing in the pot.

I’m really enjoying this Red Sox team right now, it seems that the injuries all across the board have forced a certain chemistry but it seems to be working. They have a good blend of veterans and hungry young players right now. These guys are playing hard.
I still feel the starting pitching is a major issue , it’s never a good sign when Daniel Bard has more walks then K’s. How does that even happen?
Although I refuse to root for Josh Beckett every 5 days it is hard not to root for the rest of these guys, they are really working their asses off.
Let’s see if we can finally getting over .500 tommorow night for the first time all year.

Game 7 Saturday night.. Don’t know about you but this is pretty much how I thought this would play out.
It would be easy to rip apart the Celts for the game 4 collapse and the poor display last night but I’m not going down that road. This team has been devastated by injuries all year including this run throughout the playoffs, now Avery Bradley too boot it has just been an absolute uphill battle for the boys in green.
It’s been a hell of a ride with the Big Three and I hope the final chapter has yet to be written. Something tells me they will find a way to go out with a bang.
Grit and Balls…

Pivotal game 3 tonight in Philly. Let’s be real the Celts have not played well yet in this series by any stretch of the imagination, we are lucky to not be down 0-2 truthfully.
With that said I am gonna try and look at that as a good sign instead of a bad one, hoping our best basketball is still to come.
Paul Pierce has to contribute soon for the C’s to advance and KG needs to be the other focal point of the offense as well. Veteran team like the Celtics should be able to wear down the younger Sixers eventually, or at least we hope.
I’m interested to see what Celtics team shows up tonight for game 3. I’m praying it’s the hungry veteran group with a chip on their shoulder.
- Don’t look now but the sox are on fire !!!!! Let’s hit the breaks a bit and see what they do against real pitching this series versus the Rays. I’m pretty sure The Crack Spot himself could tame that mariners lineup. Seeing some good signs though lets try and keep that momentum going.

Attention Josh Beckett.. The above picture is of a real man, a real tough guy.
KG was an absolute beast last night. I guess one thing you shouldn’t do if you are the owner of the opposing team facing the Celtics is call out KG. what we saw from him last night was dare I say legendary, number 5 literally carried the celtics to the second round.
Josh you could learn a lot from Mr. Garnett maybe the two of you should some spend some time together, that is when you don’t have a tee time of course.
I don’t think I have ever hated a sports player in this town as much as I do Beckett. I have no problems saying that I was rooting against him last night whatsoever. It was like opening up a Christmas gift watching that piece of shit get booed off the field last night. He is a cancerous tumor that needs to be removed as fast as humanly possible.
Ownership or Ben Cherington need to grow a pair and make a statement with this guy and this team. The coddling days are done. You are losing your most loyal fans by enabling this fraud and others.
Oh and Bobby V don’t you think it’s about that time for a closed door meeting? Oh yeah that’s right you have absolutely no power and are scared to speak because the spoiled players run the show.
The Red Sox may not realize this but they are now the 4th team in Boston not the first anymore, losing hardcore fans by the day. Instead of worrying about your bogus sell out streak Mr. John Henry why don’t you make a statement and rid your organization of a man that doesn’t deserve to wear the same uniform that so many legends once did.

Like I said recently this Celtics squad is dangerous and we may be in for a hell of a spring journey from these guys. Paul Pierce is playing like a top 5 player and Rajon Rondo is just toying with people.
First Dwight Howard went down then Then D Rose and Noah and the Bulls look dead in the water. The breaks just keep coming . As of today it appears it could be ( should be ) Celts vs. Sixers in the East Semi’s. Wow, two or three weeks ago who would have thought that? Yeah nobody. All of a sudden a trip to the Conf Finals is expected around here.

The truth hurts.. Just ask Atlanta. You just can’t say enough about this future first ballot HOF. With sugar Ray and Rondo out last night down 1-0 The Truth needed a 30 point plus game for the Celts.. And that’s just what he did.
The Defense was suffocating mid- third on after a good ass chewing on the sidelines from Doc. At times I look out on the floor and see Dooling, Steimsma, Pavolovic, and maybe even Dr. Seuss. Somehow these guys get it done despite the injuries , etc. One thing that cannot be questioned is their heart.
With Rose out for Chicago it is wide open to get to the Eastern Conf Finals right now. I see one last run from this gritty group. Sit back and enjoy the ride. The Celts may just surprise us all.
Random Site Note O’ The Day- Anyone else fired up to see Middlebrooks MLB debut tonight besides me. Youk may be out of a job in a few weeks. # Future

Boy did that freakin suck. I think I would have rather lost 4-0 than in OT like that God damnit. Hats off to the Caps they played an exceptional series and were the better team. This really hurts right now but we will be back next year no doubt.
Zach Parise??? I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
Thank god the NFL draft is tonight I really needed to focus on something other than hockey ( although torn with two game 7’s) .

Game 7.. There is really nothing else to say. The tightest series in NHL Playoffs history will come to an end tonight for one team. The B’s experience last year should be a big factor tonight especially playing in the Garden.
For the first time really all series we finally saw a lot of our struggling forwards break through. They need to continue that progress tonight for the season to continue. We know what we are going to get out of TT, let’s pray for Holtby to have that dear in the headlights look. Experience has to be a factor, lets hope that physicality and toughness will be as well.
Gary Busey Big Bopper O’ The Day - I’m going with Lucic on this one. I saw some great signs from him late in game 6. Tonight he breaks through.
Star Sleeper O’ The Day - I’m gonna throw out two guys names here.. Boychuk and Pouliot. This hasn’t been the best series for Johnny B but something tells me he steps up tonight. As for Pouliot, I have absolutely loved this guys energy and effort in this series. He’s finishing checks, skating hard, winning the puck battle, etc. Good things come to players like that.
Fear The Bear

Here is the future.. This guy goes by the name of Will Middlebrooks, we all know him as probably the best prospect the Sox have right now. Not only was this dude by the looks of it probably a nasty Quarterback in High School but he is currently tearing up AAA pitching as we speak down in Pawtucket. 8 HR 23 RBI and almost a .380 Batting Average to boot. When will we see him?? You’re answer is as good as mine but hopefully his short ride up 95 comes sooner than later. Oh yeah and Lavarnway too.. The future should be now.

Is it me or has this series been absolutely dead even? I have to say I have been very impressed with the Capitals thus far, with that said I still believe the B’s are the superior team and should take 2 out of the next 3. Holtby downright scares me right now. Gotta keep bodies in front of him and go high/low on him. Huge game tomorrow. Game 5 winner most likely will take the series.
The Red Sox and their money hungry owners will be putting on a display today for the 100th celebration of Fenway. Who do you wanna see the most? I’m gonna go with Rocket, Pedro, Boggs, and obviously Wilfredo Cordero. Snooze.. How bout we win some games first then celebrate ?
